Hand Vein Treatments
Prominent veins on the backs of the hands are tell-tale signs of aging. These veins are relatively easy to eliminate by procedures such as sclerotherapy, endovenous laser treatment (EVLT), and microphlebectomies. Sclerotherapy is simply injection of a solution directly into the veins. EVLT involves passage of a tiny fiber into the veins and delivering laser energy to close the vein. Microphlebectomies are actual removal of the veins through tiny incisions. Sclerotherapy, EVLT and microphlebectomies are all simple outpatient procedures that are remarkably successful in the elimination of hand veins.
Hand Volumization
Hand volume can be restored through the injection of synthetic dermal fillers such as Juvederm Voluma, Juvederm UltraPlus, Radiesse, Restylane Lyft or fat harvested from other areas of the body (such as the thigh or buttocks). The injections are made under the skin to effectively plump up the hands, thereby smoothing out wrinkles and making the hands look young and healthy.
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and Lasers
IPL and Lasers can be used to remove skin pigment changes such as blemishes, vascular lesions and age spots. These devices can be used on most skin types. Several treatments may be needed to see desired results.
