What Is Sculpsure?

Do you have stubborn pockets of fat that are unresponsive to diet and exercise? If so, you’re not alone. Some people get lucky on their weight loss journey and burn fat from their trouble areas. However, it is impossible to spot-reduce fat, so some people need to turn to professionals to achieve the body they desire. Today, our aesthetic experts at Beach Cities Vein & Laser Center in El Segundo, CA are discussing Sculpsure.

What Is Sculpsure?

Sculpsure, sometimes referred to as WarmSculpting, is a non-invasive body contouring treatment designed to quickly and effectively eliminate excess fat for good. It works by using the heat emitted by a highly advanced laser’s lightwave energy to melt the walls of fat cells in a targeted area. Once the walls of the fat cells are destroyed, they release the fat that they were storing. Note, you won’t see your final results right away.

This is because once the fat cells are destroyed, your lymphatic system has to notice the destroyed cells, sweep them up, and flush them out. This process can take up to three months, but you should start to see the results of your treatment approximately six weeks after your first treatment.

How Long Will My Treatment Session Take?

How long you can expect your treatment session to take depends on several factors, including the number of areas you are targeting for treatment and how large those areas are. We can give you a good idea regarding how long your session should take when you come in for your initial consultation. However, as a general rule, you should expect your session to take around 25 minutes per treatment area.

How Many Treatment Sessions Will I Need?

If you’re already at your goal weight, you may only need one treatment session to achieve your desired aesthetic. On the other hand, if you are closer to 30 pounds away from your goal weight, you may need to schedule six treatment sessions to remove enough localized fat to sculpt your desired contours.

Keep in mind, it is advisable to schedule your sessions six to eight weeks apart. Therefore, if you need three treatment sessions to achieve your desired aesthetic, it may take you up to seven months to see your ideal results.

How Can I See the Final Results of My Treatment Faster?

To see your final results as quickly as possible, you need to make sure that your lymphatic system is operating as efficiently as it can. Fortunately, there are several things you can do to boost the efficiency of your lymphatic system. For instance, you can get a lymphatic massage from a massage therapist who is licensed to give lymphatic massages. You can also make temporary modifications to your diet.

For example, your lymphatic system grows sluggish when you eat extremely processed foods, like protein shakes, protein bars, cereal, canned soup, and candy. Therefore, you can speed up your lymphatic system by eating lots of fresh produce, whole grains, and unprocessed meat. Also, you should keep in mind that low-fat and fat-free dairy products are extremely processed. You can also exercise to see your final results faster.

Walking for Rapid Results

Walking is one of the best things you can do to speed up your final WarmSculpting results. This is because walking is so affordable and accessible. Virtually anyone can find time to squeeze a walk into their day. Notably, you don’t even need to go on a vigorous walk to speed up your final results. Your lymphatic system is supported by your cardiovascular system, and even moderate walks support your cardiovascular system.

As a general rule of thumb, you should walk for at least 30 minutes daily for the health of your cardiovascular system. This should be done five times weekly. That said, if you want to see your final results as quickly as possible, it is highly advisable to get at least five hours of moderate cardiovascular exercise weekly or 2.5 hours of vigorous cardiovascular exercise weekly. This can comprise walking alone or a combination of exercises.

Indoor Rowing for Rapid Results

Indoor rowing is another great way to support your cardiovascular system and, by extension, your lymphatic system. There are many great things about indoor rowing, also called erging, including its customizability and low-impact nature. In other words, this is an ideal way to get in a cardio session even if you have bad joints. However, you need to make sure you use proper form when you erg. Here’s a brief overview of how to erg properly.

Phase 1

The first phase of erging is known as “the catch.” During this phase, you need to sit with your shoulders level and head neutral. Your shoulders should be in front of your hips, and your shins should be as close to vertical as you can comfortably get them. You should also take care to not move your shins beyond perpendicular. If necessary, you may lift your heels.

Phase 2

The second phase of erging is known as “the drive.” During this phase, you will press with your legs until they are fully extended. Your head should remain neutral. Once your legs are fully extended, you should use your core to straighten your back up until it is perpendicular with the floor. Continue “swinging” your back until it is approximately 45-degrees past perpendicular with the floor.

Once you are leaned all the way back, use your lats to pull the handle until it is in the middle of your ribs. Your hands should move in a straight line while you are pulling.

Phase 3

The third phase of erging is known as “the finish.” During this phase, your shoulders should be low and your grip should be relaxed. Also, you should check to make sure that your wrists are flat.

Phase 4

The fourth and final phase of erging is known as “the recovery.” During this phase, you should push your arms forward as far as you can. Then, you should lean forward from your hips. Next, you should pull yourself back to the catch with your hamstrings.

Am I a Good Candidate for This Treatment?

To determine whether you are a good candidate for this treatment, you need to come in for an initial consultation. An initial consultation is required because we need to discuss your health and goals and evaluate your areas of concern. As a good general rule of thumb, you will qualify for this treatment if you are in fairly good health and concerned about stubborn pockets of excess fat. However, there are exceptions to the general rule.

For example, you will not be considered a good candidate for this treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding regardless of how healthy you are. Also, you may not qualify for this treatment, despite good health, depending on how much excess fat there is in the areas you are concerned about. For instance, this treatment may not be right for you if you have less than an inch of pinchable fat in your areas of concern. There also can’t be too much excess fat.
