Beach Cities Vein and Laser Center is a full-service practice specializing in the treatment of venous problems—from the smallest of spider veins to the largest varicose veins. All outpatient vein solutions are provided on-site. Owner and medical director Dr. Mark Rayman has worked in the health care industry for the past two decades. He was the first fellowship-trained interventional radiologist to join Kaiser Permanente (Los Angeles), where he worked for 19 years. In 2013 Dr. Rayman opened Beach Cities Vein and Laser Center to offer patients outstanding medical and aesthetic care paired with great attention to detail.
What is unique about your style and technique?
“My style is probably shaped by what I learned from my father, who was a family practitioner. I strongly believe that each patient is my partner in care and not just a number. My ability to empathetically listen to and understand each patient’s needs and motivations allows me to work with them to find the most appropriate solution to their vein problems in terms of technology, comfort, results and affordability.
As for technique, it is my expertise in ultrasound that truly sets my practice apart. I use ultrasound to simultaneously scan patients while performing minimally invasive procedures in the vascular system (including gaining access to the tiniest of veins in newborn babies). My formal training in ultrasound helps me diagnose and treat problems that others may not see or cannot easily handle.”
A CARING DOCTOR WHO CAN ACHIEVE EXCEPTIONAL RESULTS.”
What is the biggest benefit that your clients gain from seeing you for their health and beauty needs?
“A more active lifestyle and increased self-confidence. After treatment, patients are able to wear the clothes they want, engage in the activities they enjoy and feel better about themselves when looking in the mirror or in the eyes of their significant other.”
What is the biggest challenge facing your clients today?
“Finding the very best provider possible to handle their needs and concerns—a caring doctor who can achieve exceptional results with state-of-the-art solutions. They should find a provider who is board-certified by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine; highly trained and skilled in the performance and interpretation in diagnostic ultrasound; who offers a complete range of treatment options; and who is empathetic and shows great attention to patient comfort and cosmetic outcomes.”
