What is VeinGogh?
VeinGogh is a minimally invasive procedure that removes spider veins using high-frequency electrical energy. It is particularly good at removing spider veins that have been resistant to sclerotherapy, external laser, or IPL therapy in the past.
What Can I Expect from Treatment?
VeinGogh treatment for spider veins can take anywhere from 5 minutes to an 45 minutes to complete, depending upon the number of spider veins being treated. No anesthetic is required before treatment. This simple procedure involves insertion of a tiny needle into the affected vein. Heat is then administered through the needle in quick pulses. This heat causes the vein to seal shut. Over the ensuing days to weeks, the vein shrinks and becomes less noticeable, often disappearing completely from sight. Sometimes additional treatments are needed to obtain the best results.
VeinGogh is an outpatient procedure that involves absolutely no downtime. Some patients experience is some redness at the treatment site, but this usually subsides within a few hours. Occasionally there is some crusting over the treatment site which may last several days of more, but this is usually very subtle and soon disappears. Because it takes time for the body to remove the closed vein, continuous improvement in the visibility of your vein can be seen in the weeks following treatment.
